Invesco Perpetual, based in Henley-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, is one of the largest investment managers in the UK, responsible for £78.04bn worth of assets[1] (as at 31 December 2014) on behalf of individual clients, fund platforms, nominees, pension funds and other corporate institutions.

Invesco Perpetual forms part of Invesco Ltd, a leading global investment manager listed on the New York Stock Exchange. The group has more than 750 investment professionals serving clients in more than 150 countries, with on-the-ground presence in 20 countries.

Description and history

Invesco Perpetual was originally founded by Sir Martyn Arbib as Perpetual. In 2000, the company became a member of the AMVESCAP Group, which was subsequently renamed Invesco Ltd in 2008.

Queen Elizabeth II visited the company in 1998 to open its new headquarters, after opening the nearby River and Rowing Museum.[2] Invesco Perpetual and The Arbib Foundation are benefactors of the museum.

The company logo is a graphic image of Ama Dablam, a 6,856m (22,493 ft) mountain in the Himalaya range of eastern Nepal. The image represents the virtues of strength, stability and longevity.

Invesco Perpetual is a business name of Invesco Asset Management Limited and Invesco Fund Managers Limited, both of which are authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.

Investments

Invesco Perpetual’s investment philosophy is based on a belief in truly active fund management, with the aim of achieving long-term returns. It is best known as a leading manager of equities and fixed income, but also for its multi-asset investment capability, introduced in 2013.
