George Washington Memorial Park is a cemetery located in Paramus, in Bergen County, New Jersey, United States. [2] It was established in 1939 as a "whites only" cemetery. [1]
Noted burials
- Jedh Colby Barker (June 20, 1945 - September 21, 1967) United States Marine Corps Lance Corporal who was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor for heroism during the Vietnam War in September 1967.[3]
- Granville Wellington Carter (November 18, 1920 - November 21, 1992), sculptor from Augusta, Maine.
- Lamont Coleman (Big L) (May 30, 1974 - February 15, 1999), New York rapper and hip-hop producer, a member of Diggin' in the Crates Crew, founder of Flamboyant Entertainment. He used to record songs with rap fames, such as 2pac, Guru of Gang Starr, Fat Joe, Big Daddy Kane, Kool G Rap and Jay-Z.
