Friedrich-Wilhelm Hauck (10 January 1897 – 15 April 1979) was a highly decorated General der Artillerie in the Wehrmacht during World War II who commanded several corps. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Friedrich-Wilhelm Hauck was captured by British troops in May 1945 and was released in 1948
