Forbes, Missouri

Forbes is an unincorporated community in southeastern Holt County, Missouri, United States. It is located about five miles southeast of Oregon. Its post office has closed and mail now comes from Oregon.
History
Forbes was laid out in 1869. It was named for railroad magnate John Murray Forbes.[1]
