NATO F band
The NATO F band is the obsolete designation given to the radio frequencies from 3 000 to 4 000 MHz (equivalent to wavelengths between 10 and 7.5 cm) during the cold war period. Since 1992 frequency allocations, allotment and assignments are in line to NATO Joint Civil/Military Frequency Agreement (NJFA).[1] However, in order to identify military radio spectrum requirements, e.g. for crises management planning, training, Electronic warfare activities, or in military operations, this system is still in use.

Waveguide F band
The waveguide F band is the range of radio frequencies from 90 GHz to 140 GHz in the electromagnetic spectrum,[2][3] corresponding to the recommended frequency band of operation of WR8 waveguides. These frequencies are equivalent to wave lengths between 3.33 mm and 2.14 mm. The E band is in the EHF range of the radio spectrum.
