Imbricatea is a class of Rhizaria characterised by silica scales. It is sometimes described as "Imbricatea/Silicofilosea", due to the similarity of those two groupings.[1] Imbricatea is divided into the orders Euglyphida and Thaumatomonadida.[2][3]
