Else Høst

Else Marie Høst, née Røysland (1908–1996) was a Norwegian literary historian.
She was born in Stavanger.[1] In 1931 she married philologist Gunnar Høst (1900–1983), and became a daughter-in-law of Sigurd Høst.[2]
She took the mag.art. degree in 1941 and the dr.philos. degree in 1959 on a thesis about Hedda Gabler. She also wrote a book about The Wild Duck: Vildanden av Henrik Ibsen (1967).[1] In 1970 and 1971 she co-released Fransk lesning I and Fransk lesning II together with her husband.[2]
