East Wake High School (formerly known as Vaiden Whitley High School) is located in Wendell, North Carolina. East Wake is part of the Wake County Public School System. The school was subdivided into four separate smaller schools, but was unified to one large high school starting the 2015-2016 school year. [1] Football team went to the playoffs for the first time in 8 years in 2014. They also had an undefeated home record in 2014.

- Gregory Helms - professional wrestler best known for his time with World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) where he wrestled as The Hurricane and Gregory Helms and also known for his time with World Championship Wrestling (WCW) where he wrestled as "Sugar" Shane Helms.
