China National Building Material Company or CNBM (SEHK: 3323), established in 1984, is a state-owned enterprise administrated by the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, engaging in cement, lightweight building materials, glass fiber and fibre-reinforced plastic products and engineering service businesses.
CNBM is currently the largest cement and gypsum board producer in China. It is also the largest glass fiber producer in Asia.
CNBM was listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange under IPO on 23 March 2006.[1]
CNBM joined the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index from 10 March 2008.[2]
In October 2013 CNBM entered into an agreement with Qatari Investors Group to expand the Al Khaliji Cement plant. Al Khaliji, a subsidiary of Qatari Investors Group, is planning to double clinker and production capacity at the plant to 12,000tpd and 14,000tpd, respectively. FLSmidth is to supply equipment and machinery for the US$190m expansion.[3]
