Contents
History
The station was opened on 11 September 1933, being originally built of timber. This was replaced by a concrete structure, believed to be in the 1960s. The line was singled in 1968.
Services
The station is a request stop where passengers are to signal the driver to board or ask the guard on the train to arrange for the train to stop if they wish to alight. Generally there is two-hourly service southbound to Weymouth and northbound to Westbury and Bristol Temple Meads; northbound trains will often then continue to Gloucester. On Sundays there are three trains a day in each direction.
