Charlestown City Blues FC is an Australian soccer club based in Whitebridge, a suburb of Newcastle, New South Wales. The club currently competes in the National Premier Leagues Northern NSW

History

Charlestown City Blues FC was founded as Charlestown United in 1900, and merged with local neighbours Highfields Azzurri in 2009, forming a new club called Charlestown City Blues to try to meet the requirements of the top state league at the time. Despite the merger, Highfields Azzurri were relegated to the second division state league. After the relegation, Azzurri lost some of its squad to other top league clubs like Broadmeadow Magic, Valentine Phoenix and Hamilton Olympic, meaning major recruitment was undertaken in order to be ready for the 2009 season.
