The British version of the board game Monopoly was created in 1936 by John Waddington Ltd. Based on the Parker Brothers original set in Atlantic City, New Jersey, the British version used places in London. Most are streets in Central London, with a few exceptions; The Angel, Islington is a pub and Old Kent Road runs through South London.
