Budun Khachabekovich Budunov (Russian: Будун Хачабекович Будунов; born December 4, 1975 in Kizilyurt) is a retired Russian professional football player.

He currently works as the president of the Dagestan's Football Union.

Honours

Collision with Perkhun

On August 19, 2001, during the game against CSKA Moscow, Budunov collided head-to-head with CSKA goalkeeper Serhiy Perkhun, both sustaining serious head trauma during the collision. At first, Perkhun's injury appeared to be minor and he was quickly released by doctors with the diagnosis of a broken nose. However, Perkhun became comatose on the way to the airport and died nine days later from a brain hemorrhage.
