Bok (Martian crater)

Tear-drop shaped islands caused by flood waters from Maja Vallis, as seen by Viking Orbiter. Image is located in Oxia Palus quadrangle. The islands were formed by the ejecta of Lod, Bok, and Gold craters.

Bok is a crater in the Oxia Palus quadrangle of Mars, located at 20.8° N and 31.7° W. It is 7.1 km in diameter and was named after a town in New Guinea.[1]
Bok is famous for showing clear evidence that it was affected by floods of water from Maja Valles on Mars.
