Bob Chapman (full name Robert Dennis Chapman, but who was often known as Sammy Chapman – born 18 August 1946) is a footballer who played as a defender in the Football League during the 1960s and 1970s, most notably with Nottingham Forest.

He made his debut for Forest in 1964 at the age of 17 years 5 months, which at the time made him the youngest ever Forest player, and he was to go on to make 422 senior appearances for the club (scoring 23 goals).[2]

In 1977 he left Forest to join Notts County.[3]

After a season with County he moved to Shrewsbury Town, before moving to non-league with Burton Albion.[4]

His son Robert has played cricket for Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club.[5]
