The Arrowhead Trafficway (Arrowhead Trfwy) is a freeway located in Kansas City. US 169 is signed along the entire route. The freeway passes by the Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport and most of the route south of I-29 parallels the Missouri River. Despite its name, the freeway does not pass by or near Arrowhead Stadium.
Route description
Arrowhead begins as a continuation of Broadway Street in Downtown at the Alphabet Loop (I-35/I-70). The highway crosses the Missouri River on the Broadway Bridge and picks up freeway status. The freeway passes the Charles B. Wheeler Downtown Airport, which is squished between the Missouri River and the freeway. After the interchange with I-29, the freeway passes by more residential areas, running along the western border of Gladstone. After the NE 108th interchange, the freeway drops to expressway status. The Arrowhead Trafficway designation ends at I-435.
