History
The design of the new AK Stadium
The André Kamperveen Stadium was opened on the 29th of August 1953 with the name National Stadium.Later the Stadium was called Suriname Stadium then named after André Kamperveen the first president of the CFU.In 2015 the Surinamese Football Association said they are going to renovate the Stadium with a budget of 22-25,000,000$ and would have a capacity of more than 10,000.
