In Celtic polytheism, Andarta was a warrior goddess worshipped in southern Gaul. Inscriptions to her have been found in southern France and in Bern, Switzerland.[1] She may be related to the goddess Andate, identified with Victory in Britain according to Roman historian Cassius Dio.[2] Like the similar goddess Artio, she may have been associated with the bear.[1]
