Anatole Bérard des Glajeux

Henri-Marie-Anatole Bérard des Glajeux (17 July 1833 – 4 March 1912) was a French magistrate and author.

Biography

Anatole Bérard des Glajeux was born in Ormesson-sur-Marne. Secretary of the Paris Bar Association (1857-1858), Anatole Bérard des Glajeux joined the judiciary in 1859. He became a deputy public prosecutor at the Court of Appeal in 1874, then, moving to the bench, he became a counselor at the Paris Court of Appeal in 1877 and president of the chamber in 1891. He was promoted to counsel at the Court of Cassation in 1900.

He won the Marcelin Guérin Prize from the Académie française in 1893.

Anatole Bérard des Glajeux died in Pau, Pyrénées-Atlantiques.
