History
The club was formed in 1898 as Alresford F.C. They joined Division Two of the Hampshire League in 1990, dropping back down to the North Hampshire League in 1996 before bouncing back to the Hampshire League in 2000. When the Hampshire and Wessex Leagues merged in 2004, Alresford became members of the expanded Wessex League. The club finished as runners-up in Wessex League Division One in 2006–07, earning promotion to the Premier Division, where they remain as of the 2012–13 season.
With the erection of floodlights at their Alrebury Park home, the club became eligible to compete in FA competitions – first entering the FA Vase in 2007–08 and the FA Cup a year later. They have been knocked out of the Vase in the Second Round Qualifying in each of their two entries, while in the FA Cup their debut season ended at the first attempt with an Extra Preliminary Round loss at Harrow Hill. Season 2010–11 proved to be the Magpies most successful season as they finished with 45 points which is their highest ever points tally at step 5 level under the current guidance of co-managers Danny Robinson and Tim Cole.
Ground
Alresford Town play their home games at Alrebury Park, The Avenue, Alresford, SO24 9EP.
