Early life and acting studies
Born in Broken Hill, Horne moved to Adelaide with her mother when she was eight.[2] She attended the Flinders University Drama Centre in 2004 and 2005 and then moved to Sydney to continue her studies in acting at NIDA.[2]
Career
In 2008 Horne filmed for television series East West 101,[3] performed in Gallipoli at the Sydney Theatre Company under the direction of Nigel Jamieson,[3][4][5] and sang Benjamin Speed's title track for a short film, Street Angel.[6] and in the AFI Award winning documentary A Northern Town.[7][8] She also performed in In The Solitude of Cottonfields,[3] being credited by one reviewer with a standout performance in a script which he described as "impenetrable" and "a virtually actionless two-hander".[9] In 2011, she performed a prominent role in the docudrama Recipe for Murder.
