Heavens above will make fun of mortals, however they will also make fun of fox spirits! [1]

The female lead of the show, Hu Liqin, is the Fox Spirit, banished to Earth for being unable to suppress her feelings of love in the celestial heavens. The only way she would be permitted back to the Celestial Court was if she could find a man who is willing to sacrifice his life to love and protect her.[2]
