Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'strict' not found. The ASTEROID trial was a clinical trial published in 2006 that shows the effects of statins (drugs that inhibit the enzyme HMG-CoA reductase) on atherosclerosis. Employing intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), they showed regression of the atherosclerotic plaques in response to a high dose of rosuvastatin[1]
