The 2017–18 Detroit Red Wings season was the 92nd season for the National Hockey League (NHL) franchise that was established on September 25, 1926.[1] It was also the Red Wings' first season at Little Caesars Arena. The team missed the playoffs for the second year in a row, marking the first time since 1979–80 that the Red Wings missed the playoffs multiple seasons in a row.
