The 2015–16 Women's National League is the fifth season of the Women's National League. Wexford Youths are the defending champions.

Teams

The league was restored to eight teams when Kilkenny United W.F.C. joined in July 2015, with the Football Association of Ireland announcing the formation of the club as an expansion team for 2015–16.[2][3] Another change saw Raheny United's senior women's team join forces with Shelbourne Ladies F.C.. This effectively saw Shelbourne Ladies take Raheny United's place in the WNL.[4]

League Table

Castlebar Celtic withdrew on 31 March after 8 losses and 1 win, because they couldn't field enough players anymore.[5]

On the last matchday Wexford played at Shelbourne leading the table with 3 points over them. Shelbourne won the match 3–1 and forced a title deciding play-off.[6]

Wexford won the resulting play-off 2-1 at Tallaght Stadium.[7]
