The 2005-06 Atlanta Hawks season was the team's 57th in the NBA. They began the season hoping to improve upon their 13-69 output from the previous season. They improved by thirteen games to finish 26-56, but failed to qualify for the playoffs for the seventh straight season.[1]
In the offseason, the Hawks brought in 3-point specialist Joe Johnson from the Phoenix Suns.
