The 1991–92 Charlotte Hornets season was Charlotte's fourth season in the National Basketball Association, and first under Head Coach Allan Bristow. Behind the stellar play of #1 Draft Choice Larry Johnson, the Hornets finished the season with a record of 31 wins and 51 losses, a five-game improvement over the previous season. Johnson went on to win the 1992 NBA Rookie of the Year Award. The Hornets led the NBA in attendance for the third time in four seasons.
