He was concurrently High Commissioner to Zambia and Malawi and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Mozambique. He was also High Commissioner to Zimbabwe and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Czechoslovakia, Yugoslavia, Bulgaria and Albania.
