Tech ARP (pronounced as Tech Up), is a Malaysian technology news and information website created by Adrian Wong in 1997. It publishes news, reviews and guides on issues such as computer hardware and software, science, technology policy, and video games.[citation needed]

History

Tech ARP was started as a personal homepage in 1997 by Adrian Wong, on August 20, 1998, it evolved into a true computer hardware site which now offers reviews, editorials, guides and news related to computer hardware, software, computer technology, modding and also overclocking.[citation needed] The name of the site is derived from a Malaysian dish called rojak. Adrian Wong envisioned the site as a potpourri of different articles, as varied and as delectable as the ingredients of that dish. Thus, the name Adrian's Rojak Pot was born.[citation needed]

Tech ARP aims to focus on subjects that are rarely or never touched by other sites. It believes that it's better to provide some information on a little-known subject than add more to the mountain of information on well-researched subjects.[citation needed] In early 2006, Adrian's Rojak Pot is rebranded and has gone through a makeover. It is now known as Tech ARP.

Content

The content of articles published by Tech ARP also hosts on their website and also an OpenForum, a free internet forum for the discussion of a variety of topics with nearly six thousand members and three hundred thousand posts, with discussions ranging from computer hardware, overclocking, cooling & modding to software, games, distributed computing, digital photography and more.
