Introduction corrected
Corrected the intro to reflect that Germany is a land area. This should be done for all articles about *countries*. A country is a land area, a territory, typically belonging to an entity often called 'The State.' Conflating The State and its land property, is to give false information. If InfoGalactic can give correct information about countries, it will be a better source of information.
Also 'European Union' is a name, not a description.
