Neil Scales

Life and career
Between 1999 and 2012, Scales was Chief Executive Officer and Director-General of Merseytravel.[1]
Scales resigned from Merseytravel in December 2011, to take up an appointment in the Queensland Public Sector.[2][3] He joined Translink, the public transport authority in Brisbane, Australia, in March 2012 as Chief Executive Officer.[4]
In March 2013, Scales was appointed Director-General of the Queensland Department of Transport and Main Roads.[5]
Awards
Scales was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire for services to transport.[5]
