"Little Bit O' Soul" is a song written in 1964 by British songwriters, John Carter and Ken Lewis. Originally recorded by Coventry band, The Little Darlings, and released in 1965 on Fontana Records, it was popularised by the American band The Music Explosion. It peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1967[1] and was awarded a gold record by the RIAA. The Music Explosion's version is noted for its trademark bass riff.
