This is a list of urban areas in Ireland by population. The one hundred largest towns are listed. Populations are from Table 7, Volume 1 of the 2011 Irish census[1] and represent the entire settlement area of each town and city (including suburbs and environs). For convenience, cities included are shown in bold and county towns and cities are highlighted in green.
