IVP is a US-based private equity investment firm focusing on later-stage venture capital and growth equity investments. IVP is one of the oldest venture capital firms on Sand Hill Road founded by Reid W. Dennis in 1980.

IVP invested in FleetMatics in December 2010.[2]

In 2013, IVP invested in AppDynamics, Ayasdi, Datalogix, Dataminr, Dropcam that was later acquired by Nest in 2014,[3] OnDeck, Oportun,[4] Pure Storage, Snapchat, Supercell (Softbank and GungHo acquired a 51% interest in Supercell in October 2013 at a $3.1 billion valuation[5]) and TuneIn.[6]

In 2014, IVP invested in SoundCloud,[7] Indiegogo[8] (as part of the deal, IVP General Partner Jules Maltz joined Indiegogo‘s board of directors[9]), ZEFR[10] (as part of the deal, IVP General Partner Dennis Phelps joined ZEFR‘s board of directors[11]), General Assembly (school)[12] (as part of the deal, IVP General Partner Todd Chaffee joined General Assembly‘s board of directors[13]), AdRoll,[14] Prosper Marketplace,[15] Zendesk (ZEN),[16] Zenefits.[17]
