Hinda Miller

Hinda Miller (born April 18, 1950, Montreal, Quebec, Canada) is a former Democratic member of the Vermont State Senate, representing the Chittenden senate district. Miller is also known for her part in the invention of the sports bra.[1]
Hinda Miller was first elected to the Vermont State Senate in 2002 and left office in 2013. She finished second in the 2006 Burlington, Vermont mayoral election behind Progressive Bob Kiss.
Biography
Miller earned a B.A. degree from the Parsons School of Design, New York City in 1972, and a Master of Fine Arts from New York University in 1976.
She is married to Dr. Joel Miller, retired psychologist. The couple have a daughter, Macey and a son, Noah. The Millers moved to Burlington, Vermont in 1977.
Business career
She is a co-founder and past president (1984 - May 1994), CEO (May 1994 - January 1996), and vice president of communications (January 1996 - December 1997) of Jogbra, a maker of women's sports apparel now owned by Sara Lee Corp..
She is owner and president of DeForest Concepts, a business consulting firm. She is also on the Board of Directors of Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, a for-profit coffee company.
