Hermione leads a good life with her mother, Lady Dorothy, and it gets even better when she joins Molly MacDonald's dating agency and wins herself a ranger - Duncan McKay. Duncan and Hermione get together, and Duncan joins Hermione and Dorothy's eco-dome plan, but Lexie MacDonald finds out Hermione lied to Duncan about him getting a job and about the eco-dome jobs. Duncan feels he can no longer trust Hermione, and he dumps her. Later, in series 5, Hermione returns with the urge for Duncan and herself to get back together. Hermione begins to stalk Duncan and pressure him into getting back with her. Duncan confides in Jessica Mckenzie and the next time we see Hermione, she is walking off heartbroken, because Jess, in a play to have Duncan to herself, kisses him.
