Purpose of use |
To demonstate the original soundtrack composed for the game. Republic Commando marked a major deviation in regards to audio in Star Wars games, taking on a musical style which is the darker, more militaristic and more vocal than previous Star Wars games. All preceding Star Wars games simply remixed John Williams' soundtracks for the film series to their purposes rather than creating original music for the media concerned. Republic Commando's use of original audio work was a subject of commentary in reviews; for these two reasons it is believed prudent to provide a sample of the game's soundtrack. |
