Evan Thomas Sharpley (born November 4, 1986) was a professional baseball player. He played baseball and football at the University of Notre Dame. As of March 2013, Sharpley is the director of fitness at the Eastlake Athletic Club in Elkhart, Indiana.[1]
Contents
College
On October 13, 2007, Sharpley replaced starting quarterback Jimmy Clausen midway through Notre Dame's loss to Boston College. Sharpley was later named the Irish's starting quarterback for their contest against USC on October 20, 2007.[2] Sharpley also played baseball.
Professional Baseball Career
Seattle Mariners
Sharpley was drafted in the 2009 MLB Draft by the Seattle Mariners in the 50th round, with selection #1,493 out of 1521. In 2009, Sharpley played for the Arizona League Mariners and in 2010, he played for the Everett AquaSox.
Frontier League
In 2011, he played for the Traverse City Beach Bums and the Lake Erie Crushers.
