Emily Beatrice Bland

Emily Beatrice Bland (11 May 1864 – 20 January 1951) was an English artist who specialised in landscapes, still life and flower paintings.[1]

Emily Beatrice Bland was born in Lincoln in 1864, and studied at the Lincoln School of Art,[2] then from 1892-94 at the Slade School of Art under Henry Tonks and Fred Brown.[3]

Bland exhibited at the Royal Academy, with the New English Art Club and at the Liverpool Autumn exhibitions.[4] She had a solo exhibition at the Leicester Galleries in 1922.[1] Her work is in the permanent collection of the Tate Gallery.[2]
