Dhaka is a town and a notified area in the district of East Champaran in the state of Bihar, India.Dhaka is Nagar Panchayat that is divided into number of wards.It comes under Sikrhana subdividison. In the last 10-15 years Dhaka emerged as the market place for its nearby area.it is very close to bordee of Nepal . Here people of all religion lives here but this is a muslim populated area . Dhaka is located at . It has an average elevation of 55 metres (180 feet). Its boundary touches with Nepal, sitamari, sheohar.

Education

High School Dhaka is one of the notable High School in East Champaran District. High School Dhaka is a government school affiliated to BSEB (Bihar school Examination Board) curriculum. It has a big infrastructure, good location, good faculties, more than 30 classrooms including laboratories, big play ground. High school is providing better education to student who are under metriculation.

There are many private schools in Dhaka including SCIENCE TUTORIAL PUBLIC SCHOOL established in 2003( fully english medium). Director of this school is Mr. Vikash gaurav . This is the first scho in dhaka with providing all academic facilities to students .anoyher school is Oasis Public School. Oasis Public School is also one of the best Hindi medium schools which is conducted by Md.Ataullah.

Government High School, middle School is also there. The percentage of education is increasing in Dhaka day by day due to these institutes. Most of the students do their 10th from High School Dhaka. There are other high schools also in nearby villages, namely Khairwa, Urdu High School Khairwa, Bhandar, Bakhari, Patahi, Kundwa Chainpur, Patahi. Khairwa high school is most notable high school in dhaka area. Except for Patahi where there is a separate girls' school, all the high schools are co-ed. For primary education till class 7th, government primary and middle schools in villages covers the majority. Recently two CBSE schools Delhi Public School, and Vidyapati Public School started providing CBSE curriculum. For preparing classs 10th there are many coaching and institute such as Bhabha Coaching Institute, Model Coaching Center.All these are providing better education to student who are under metriculation.

Transport

One can reach Motihari by road services from Motihari, Chakiya via Pakridyal and from Ghorashahan.Nearest Railway station is Bapudham Motihari, about 30 KM and The nearest airport is at patna,about 180 KM.

Dhaka is connected with Motihari, Muzaffarpur via Chakiya, Sitamarhi,and Nepal via Barginiya. Bus services are available to Muzaffarpur, Patna, Sitamarhi, Barginiya, Siliguri, Nepal (Gaur) via Barginiya.

Political history

Dhaka is famous for leader like Late Motiur Rahman who was MLA during early 1990s, and became Rajya Sabha MP in 2004. He died in 2007. Apart from him, many politicians such as Anwarul Haque, Nek mohammad, Pawan Jaiswal, Faisal Rahman are from this area. Pawan Jaisawal was MLA of Dhaka from 2010 -2015 . Now the present MLA is faisal rehman of rastriye jantal dal . As a MLA pawan jaiswal started a very good and appreciable tradition of group marriage 'samuhik vivah' . In his first year 75 were got married then 101 couole then 125 couple got benefited from this policy .
