Brazil – Cape Verde relations refer to the bilateral relations between the Federative Republic of Brazil and the Republic of Cape Verde.

Cultural links

Both nations were colonized by Portugal and later gained independence. Brazil gained its independence in 1822 while Cape Verde gained its independence in 1975. Portuguese is the official language of both nations. Brazil and Cape Verde also have a connection between cultures. Both Brazil and Cape Verde have African and Portuguese roots.
