Bernard Eschasseriaux

Bernard François Jacques Eschasseriaux (4 February 1924 – 1 January 2010), was a French writer and actor. He is best known for his novel Sundays in Ville d'Avray. He also wrote the dialogue for the film Sundays and Cybèle, based on this novel and directed by Serge Bourguignon, which won the Oscar for Best Foreign Film in 1962.

Biography

Bernard Eschasseriaux ws born in Asnières-sur-Seine, the son of playwright Jacques Deval and the half-brother of novelist Gérard de Villiers. Alongside his career as a writer, he was a drama teacher.

Bernard Eschasseriaux died at the 5th arrondissement of Paris.
