Balaxanı (also, Balkh, Balaban, Balachany, Baladzary, Balakhani, and Balakhany) is a settlement and municipality in Baku, Azerbaijan.[citation needed] It has a population of 11,615.
The Nobel Brothers' oil wells in Balaxanı in the late 19th century.
