Sindhi Awami Tahreek (Sindhi People's Movement) or now Awami Tahreek, Pakistan (ATP), sometimes even called Qaumi Awami Tahreek (Sindhi: قومي عوامي تحريڪ) (or QAT) is a left-wing, pro-social democratic, pro-socialist, and progressive political party based in Sindh, and headquartered in Hyderabad, Sindh, Pakistan.

Formation
Awami Tahreek was formed on March 5, 1970 by the leading writers, activists, intellectuals in Hyderabad, Sindh, at the first party meeting, the leading theoretician Rasool Bux Palijo was elected as its first ever general-secretary.[1] It has graduallly evovled into a national party and supported (the anti-feudal elements) against the PPP-P and PML-N in sindh and Western Panjab along with PTI as the 2 main parties supporting Anti-Feudal-Lordism and Social democratic ideals in the country.
History
Awami Tahreek is a political party devoted to non-violence in its democratic struggle to attain freedom of the People through the scientific and revolutionary tenets of Marxism-Leninism-Maoism. It is committed to people's democracy, economic and social-justice and establishment of a welfare state in a country, where people can have equity, political freedom, economic opportunity and genuine provincial autonomy.
It believes that a comprehensive overhauling of society is required in order to deliver the benefits of a welfare state to the masses. Qaumi Awami Tahreek stands for equal rights for all citizens without distinction of sex, class, color, language, faith and creed. The Party has been able to effectively withstand the imperialist propaganda offensive in the aftermath of the setback and reverses to socialism internationally.
The courageous battles fought under the Qaumi Awami Tahreek's leadership, its role in the anti-imperialist, anti-establishment, anti-martial-law and anti-feudal struggles and struggles on people's issues over more than three decades, found reflection in historical support of masses in movements like;

Recently the ATP have started to create local/regional offices in other provinces and it has broadened its political philosophy from a provincial to national level and in sindh it is one the main the anti-feudal alternative parties to the fedua-based ppp-p nowadays.
Ideology
Qaumi Awami Tahreek is strict in opposing capitalism, imperialism, army rule, dictatorships, terrorism, corruption, racism, gender discrimination and religious bigotry. AT promises the elimination of feudalism with principles of socialism to protect and advance the interests of peasantry.
AT continues to champion the cause of the unity of Pakistan in general and Sindh in particular, the caste system, communities, minorities and ethnic groups. Since the foundation of the party, it has come forward as the builder of Muslim-Hindu-Christian unity; as fighter against communalism and riots - a fair defender of the just rights of all the minorities, Sindhi peasantry and of all working classes of the country.
Party leader
Ayaz Latif Palijo, a constitutional lawyer, human-rights activist, law professor and son of one of the founding fathers of Awami Tahreek, Rasool Bux Palijo, assumed presidency of the party and has been a fierce orator of party campaign across the country.

Awami Tahreek took severe stand over the division of Sindh in the name of illogical demand for Muhajir Sooba, Awami Tahreek started a rally "Mohabbat Sindh Rally" (love and sanctity of Sindh Dharti) against it [2]
