The 1901–02 season was the third season for FC Barcelona.

Events

On November 23, 1901 the club opened a new lands on road Horta, in the La Sagrera, during a game against the team of the British cruiser Calliope. Barcelona wins 4-0.

The second edition of Copa Macaya was won by FC Barcelona, with eight matches and eight victories, 60 goals for and only 2 against. On the occasion of the celebrations of the coronation of Alfonso XIII organized a tournament in Madrid, the Spanish Championship, Copa del Rey today.

On May 13, 1902 Barcelona is facing for the first time with Real Madrid, which wins by 1-3. The Barcelona and going to the finals, where they lost 2-1 against Bizcaya.
