The vinaceous-breasted amazon (Amazona vinacea) is a species of parrot in the Psittacidae family. It is found in Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay.

Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests, subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, and plantations. It is threatened by habitat loss.

Description

The vinaceous-breasted amazon is colorful parrot 30 cm (12 in) long. It is mostly green, with a red forehead, bluish nape, and a vinous-maroon breast.[2]

Range

The vinaceous-breasted amazon has become rare. It inhabits several areas within Argentina, Brazil, and Paraguay.[2]
