Sloten (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈsloʊ̯.tə(n)]; Lua error in package.lua at line 80: module 'strict' not found.) is a village in the Dutch province of North Holland. It is a part of the municipality of Amsterdam, and lies about 6 km west of the city centre.[1]
Sloten was a separate municipality until 1921.[2]
During the 1928 Summer Olympics, it hosted the rowing events.[3]
