Samantha "Sammi" Rae Giancola (born March 14, 1987) is an American television personality, model and actress.She first came to prominence as one of the eight main cast members in the MTV reality series Jersey Shore.

Early life

Giancola was born in Hazlet, New Jersey to parents Al and Angela Giancola, who divorced in 2005. She is of Italian and Greek descent.[1][2] Giancola was a four-year varsity soccer letter winner at Raritan High School.[3] She majored in Sociology at William Paterson University where she was a midfielder on the university's women soccer team.[3] She has two sisters, Nikki and Rachel Giancola. Back when Samantha was still studying at William Paterson University she helped her team win the Eastern College Athletic Conference’s Metro Tournament. Prior to William Paterson University, she was a four-year varsity letter winner at Raritan H.S. and was named the team’s Most Improved Player.[4]

Career

Giancola became a part of MTV's hit reality show Jersey Shore in August 2009. She has since appeared with her cast mates on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Wendy Williams Show and Live with Regis and Kelly. Later in 2012, Giancola and her Jersey Shore co-stars appeared in the 2012 film of The Three Stooges.[5][6]
