Sagarika Ghatge is an Indian film actress best known for her debut role as Preeti Sabarwal in the Bollywood movie, Chak De! India. She participated in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi (season 6) as a contestant and went on to be a finalist. She is a national level athlete.[citation needed]

Career

In 2007, Ghatge portrayed Preeti Sabarwal, a fictional member of the Indian women's national hockey team, in the movie, Chak De! India whereupon she became the brand ambassador of Reebok India[1][2] She has appeared in fashion magazines and various fashion shows.[3][4] Ghatge appeared in the 2009 film, Fox as Urvashi Mathur. She later portrayed Kamiah in Miley Naa Miley Hum. Ghatge's first lead role is opposite Emraan Hashmi in the movie Rush, which released on 24 October 2012. Ghatge has appeared in Satish Rajwade's Marathi movie Premachi Goshta with Actor Atul Kulkarni which was released in February 2013. Premachi Goshta was her first Marathi movie.[5] In 2015, She learned Punjabi for her debut Punjabi film, Dildariyaan.[6]

Awards

For her role in Chak De! India, Ghatge received the Screen Award for Best Supporting Actress alongside all the Chak De! Girls.[7] She was also rewarded with a Lions Gold Award.
