Lemke's hutia (Rhizoplagiodontia lemkei) is an extinct species of rodent in the family Capromyidae.[1] It is monotypic within the genus Rhizoplagiodontia.[citation needed] It was endemic to Haiti. Its natural habitat was subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests.
